Antrel Rolle: Giants better than 0-2 record

The New York Giants sloppy play has led to an 0-2 record, but are they an 0-2 team? Antrel Rolle does not believe his team will roll over and die

p>The New York Giants are off to a slow start and their record shows it. After facing the Dallas Cowboys during the open game and the Denver Broncos in week two, the Giants are now 0-2 and looking for answers.

Giants safety Antrel Rolle explained what the Giants have to do in order to get back on track.

"Come together, no time for pointing fingers," Rolle continued, "We're all one, we just have to get together and play as a team, offensively, defensively and on special teams. That's something right now that we're not doing."

The first two games have not been pretty on both sides of the ball. The offense is constantly handing the ball over to the opposing defense. As for Big Blue's defense, they have surrendered a combined 77 points in two games.

The defense has been on the field for long periods of time. Tony Romo exploited the shaky secondary on his way to a 36-of-49 performance for 263 yards and two touchdowns. The Cowboys capitalized on the careless mistakes of Eli Manning and his troops.

In the Manning Bowl, Peyton Manning came alive in the second half to pick apart the Giants defense. Manning went 30-for-43 through the air, racking up 307 yards and two touchdown connections.

A week after Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas, and Wes Welker caught two touchdowns each from Manning during his record tying seven touchdown passes in a game, a different wide receiver decided to join the party. Eric Decker caught nine passes for 87 yards.

The Broncos also received a strong performance from New Jersey native Knowshon Moreno. He rushed for 93 yards on 13 carries and had two touchdown runs that were 20 yards or more. The Broncos had their offense performing on all levels on Sunday and the Giants defense could not maintain it.

Rolle doesn't believe Defensive Coordinator Perry Fewell's game plan has been a problem.

"I think that's two weeks in a row Perry has put something great together for us," Rolle said. "As a defense we have to go out there and execute it. It's just as simple as that."

The Giants are obviously having issues on all sides of the ball. Manning has thrown seven interceptions in the early part of the season and the rushing attack has not woken up from the long offseason.

The defense has been unable to hold opponents while the offense has struggle. Rolle believes the Giants are better than their record shows and thinks they will turn it around. It all begins this Sunday against Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers.

"I can say what we are, but the record shows otherwise," Rolle said. "The record shows 0-2, so at this point, we're an 0-2 team. It's up to us what we're going to do from this point on. We can either get in the tank, which is something that we will never, ever do, or we go out and fight like I hope that we will do and like I see us going there and doing."
