Harris Sits Out, May Miss Game

Corner Walt Harris did not practice today because of a strained calf, decreasing the Redskins' optimism that he would play.

Harris, who has a strained calf and received a game ball after the win over Dallas, needs to practice Friday to convince coaches he's able to play. Harris remains optimistic, but his sitting out wasn't a good sign.

That would leave rookie Carlos Rogers as the starter, with Ade Jimoh likely playing the nickelback. And safety Sean Taylor can cover receivers in the slot, giving Washington another advantage.

But safety Pierson Prioleau won't play after missing another practice with a hamstring injury. There's still no decision on kicker John Hall's fate, though it seemed unlikely after Wednesday that he would kick Sunday. Meanwhile, defensive tackle Brandon Noble showed up today and said he will consider retirement -- something he had started thinking of even before his latest knee injury.
