Redskins Park Report: Williams Not Worried

Redskins Park Report: Williams Not Worried

Thanks to his experience playing against the KC offense, Springs could play on Sunday even if he misses practice all week.

. . . Shawn Springs did not practice again Thursday because of a shin injury. Assistant head coach for defense Gregg Williams is concerned about his status for Sunday (he's listed as questionable) but he's not worried about him possibly playing after no work this week. Springs has faced the Chiefs and this offensive scheme plenty to know what's going on.

. . . Corner Carlos Rogers practiced and is listed as probable for Sunday.

. . . Assistant head coach for defense Gregg Williams said linebacker LaVar Arrington got the same amount of work in practice this week. Which means not much. And he said Arrington might play some this week. Which means he probably won't.

But Williams said he doesn't feel the need to talk to him about his situation.

‘'I'm in the classroom every single day,'' he said. ‘'I communicate every single day. You guys are making too much out of this. People talk to him every day. That's just part of it. I want to get into Kansas City. I'm off that subject.''

Though Arrington might not play much for a while, don't look for this to be a lingering story. Arrington is tired of the subject and we're guessing he won't have anything else to say until he starts playing.

. . . Punter Tom Tupa was at Redskins Park today to get further tests on his back and legs. It doesn't look good for the veteran punter. He's still unable to work on his punting and it makes you wonder if he's not at the end of a long career.
