Springs has
strains in his back and his groin while Rogers has a badly bruised bicep in his
left arm. He left Redskins Park in a sling. Rogers hurt his bicep in the first
quarter, but continued to play. Springs left in the third quarter.
Director of
sports medicine Bubba Tyer called them day-to-day. Neither player was available
for an interview.
Also, it's
uncertain whether or not nickel corner Walt Harris will be available. He hurt
his calf in practice Thursday and did not play against Arizona Sunday.
''We need
some miracles,'' Redskins coach Joe Gibbs said.
If they
can't play, Ade Jimoh would start and Dimitri Patterson would be promoted off
the practice squad.
Left tackle
Chris Samuels (knee/ankle) is expected to play as is linebacker LaVar Arrington
(thigh). Defensive tackle Joe Salave'a (foot) should be fine as well.
Meanwhile,
defensive tackle Brandon Noble (knee) is back on crutches and facing more
surgery. He hasn't made an announcement regarding his future, but this latest
setback -- he's had pain and swelling in his knee -- does not bode well for any
return.
