Redskins quarterback Mark Brunell hurt his shoulder in the second Dallas game, and not the first one as
was originally reported. In addition, according to the team, it was not
determined that surgery would be needed on the arm until after the season was
over.
Brunell underwent surgery
this week to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder that will take four to
five months to rehab.
Brunell started one more game
after the injury, a loss at Philadelphia, before being benched for Jason Campbell. However, the injury was not used as the reason for the switch.
