This
is like picking between George Bush
and Hilary Clinton. Fabini
now makes the
roster by default more than by design due to Whitticker being cut. This really is a weak link
on this team. They
need a proven vet Guard with lots of
experience in a hurry.
|
|
Mike Espy WR |
Corey Bradford WR |
|
Espy
is hanging on by a thread after a very
average game against the Titans and a couple of poor days at practice. The signing of Todd Pinkston shows that the
coaching staff are not sold on any of these guys as the 5th
receiver
just year.

|
Justin Hickman DE |
Alex Buzbee DE/Jamaal Green DE |
|
Hickman
made a great heads up play against
the Titans that surely would have caught the coach’s eye. Coaches love players who
make super smart heads
up plays on the field which puts him in line for the final roster spot
for the
DL at this stage.

Vernon Fox S |
Omar Stoutmire S |
|
This
battle hasn’t moved much really in
either direction. Neither
player has
stood out so far. We’ll
keep an eye on
this over the next couple of games.

|
Ade Jimoh CB |
Jerametrious Butler CB/Byron Westbrook CB |
|
Jimoh
has been one of Washington’s
best special teams players over
the past 5 years and continues to improve slowly as a pass defender. Butler
brings starting experience and is starting to hit his straps in camp,
while the
coaching staff have had nothing but praise for young Westbrook. Jimoh has the final CB
spot – for now.
