J.T. Tryon answered questions for the media after being select by the Redskins in the 4th round.

On if he knew he would get drafted by the Redskins:

“I had no idea. I had no idea until they told me, ‘Hey this is the Redskins, do you want to be a Redskin?’ I said, ‘Heck yeah I do. Let’s go’.”

On how his height will affect him in the NFL:

“Actually, I prefer the taller receivers because I like their bodies. I can control their bodies a little bit more. The little receivers are more shifty for me. They are a little bit faster than the taller receivers. I love to compete so I am looking forward to guarding the TO’s (Terrell Owens, WR, Dallas) and the Chad Johnson’s (WR, Cincinnati). I’m looking forward to that.”

On what he brings as a cornerback:

“I bring wisdom to the game. I bring heart to the game. I was made for this. I was made to play football. I was made to be in this game. I bring a love to the game and passion to the game. This is what I do day in and day out. This is all I can do [bring a passion to the game].”

On what he brings as a kick returner:

“I bring explosion. My first five steps are explosion. I am going to get you to the 50, anytime I catch the ball at least I’m going to get you to the 50. I’m a kick returner by heart.”
