The Redskins clearly were better than the Cardinals on Sunday.
The blood in his calf pooled, causing pressure on the nerves. To relieve the pressure, Taylor had the 20-minute procedure. He was released from the hospital this afternoon. Coach Jim Zorn wasn't sure how long Taylor would miss.
Taylor's consecutive games started streak would end at 133 if he indeed doesn't play Sunday.
Demetric Evans will start in his place, with Chris Wilson entering as the nickel end. Erasmus James would play more as well.
"Any guy who tells you they don't want more opportunities is not being honest," Evans said. "At the same time you don't want them to come because someone went down.
"It's definitely a setback because we brought Jason in to be one of the top premier pass-rushers in the league. We are really going to miss him."
