Pro Highlights:
2001: contributed in short-yardage situations and special teams. Lined up as the fullback in short-yardage situations in the Jets opener vs. the Indianapolis Colts. He threw a key block during the 1st quarter vs. San Francisco, which opened a hole for running back Curtis Martin for a two-yard touchdown run.
2000: Played in all 16 games on special teams and in a reserve capacity. Loverne made his professional debut at Green Bay, helping running back Curtis Martin rush for 110 yards. He made a key block on a kickoff return that opened up return man Kevin Williams for a 97-yard touchdown run vs. Buffalo. He lined up as an eligible receiver helping Martin set a Jets franchise record with 203 rushing yards vs. Indianapolis
