College:
At Delaware State, McCants played his best season as a senior, at tight end. He tallied career-highs of 36 catches, 692 receiving yards and 18 TDs. His TD total set Delaware State and MEAC records and was No. 1 in Division I-AA. He finished seventh in I-AA in scoring with 116 points on 19 TDs, one being a 51-yard kickoff return, and a two-point conversions. McCants was named to the All-MEAC First Team. He set a school and MEAC single-game record with five TD catches against both Liberty (9/23/00) and North Carolina A&T (11/4/00). He tallied at least one TD catch in each of the last six games of his collegiate career.
