Biography:

How Acquired: Drafted by the Redskins in the sixth round (173rd overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft.

Career Stats: NFL.COM

2006: Doughty played in 10 games as a rookie, recording three tackles as a reserve safety. On special teams, he logged 19 tackles.

College: Doughty led all I-AA players in 2005 with 159 total tackles (76 solo) while recording 10 or more tackles in 10 of 11 games. He also finished with four interceptions, eight pass deflections and three forced and recovered fumbles.

He was named the nation's top vote candidate for first-team Academic All-American honors. He was also one of 16 finalists for the Draddy Trophy, known as the "Academic Heisman."

His 2005 honors also included Walter Camp Football Foundation I-AA All-American Team, Sports Network I-AA All-American-First Team, Associated Press I-AA All American-First Team, American Football Coaches Association I-AA All American Team, Buck Buchanan Award Finalist (Nation's Best I-AA Defensive Player), ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American First-Team.
